    I just finished an install of 2k, upgraded to service pack 2 downloaded all the critical updates, installed all my apps, then i get systemced missing or courrupt, so try a repair renamed system and system alt and copied over a fresh reg back up, back into 2k and had to reinstall my drivers, after this unreal tournament wouldn't run just funny lines on the screen but ran fine in unral safe mode, so i reinstalled unreal the gfx card and directx with the same problem, tried other games all with the same results.
    i'm all out of ideas, anyone shed some light ?

    i have the same problem with unreal, most other games run grand

    did you try getting the MS Win2K games compatibility download (~=500k)

    no i didn't try that.
    the things the games where working fine untill i replaced system conf, but it was that or a complete reinstall
    meh
