crusaders was by far the best one its got all you want. Especially the scene in which 'Indi' is on this lads tank and he shoves a rock into his cannon thingy. You can guess what comes next. You bet ya........BOOM! Hes dead.

I love when Indy breaks into the castle to save his father (last crusade)...he tries bluffing by the butler..."If you are a scottish artist, then I am Mickey Mouse...!"

*bewildered look on indy* "How dare he?!?"
    *thump*

    hehe :D

I voted for the Last Crusade, because i still haven't seen Raiders of the lost Ark.

Mysterious things conspire to stop me from seeing that movie. The last time there was a power cut(thanks ESB)

oh I couldn't be arsed renting it.

Yep a forth movie is in pre-production I think, presumably
Harrison Ford will be playing Indys' dad this time! :D

although, one of the best indy moments was in temple of doom.

He's standing looking up at the stars, short round says something to him. he replies with......

"Fortune and glory kid. fortune and glory."

a shooting star streaks across the sky.

    classic spielberg film making.

Definetly the last crusade, classic film :)

Last crusade by a fair few lengths.

My favourite Indiana Jones film changes as often as my pants. These days I'd probably say Raiders, but seeing as how I used to watch Temple of Doom almost daily when I was a kid, I think it's in the lead on average.

Last Crusade can feel a little sound-stagey, and that's either a good thing or a bad thing, depending on what mood I'm in.

I was searching for a review of the notebook and found this thread.
And lets be honest who can resist Indie. :p

Wow. Old thread. Apparently I voted for Temple of Doom back in 2002...

Now that I'm a little older, a little wiser, I think I prefer Raiders...

    Raiders of the lost arc.

    Raiders = original = best

    That is all ;)

Last Crusade - I knew that off by heart as a kid and I never liked any of the other Indy films as much.

I wouldn't watch any of them now, though.

if it was in pre production three years ago what happened? it would be cool if they did another one

What ruined Raiders for me is that annoying beeatch (Karen Allen) that looks like Lois from Superman... man she wrecks my head everytime I watch that film....

Anyone watch the extras on the DVD and see Tom Selleck as Indie, thank god he was tied into Magnum PI... could've ruined the trilogy... Didn't know that fox in The Last Crusade was Irish either....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,216 ✭✭✭✭monkeyfudge

Raiders of the Lost Ark is by far the best film.

The Last Crusade may be far better than Temple of Doom, but it's still feels like a far sillier film than the original. The Lucas Arts game was good though.. ha...

Last Crusade with Raiders coming close second.

It's all the Nazi bashing Boy's Own adventuring that makes it so enjoyable. Temple of Doom is fairly poor, when compared to the other two.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,800 ✭✭✭voxpop

Raiders first, last crusade second then laggging (way) behind is temple of doom - everyone know this, why is there even a pole. its like saying which is better lada or porsche - (q the lada appreciation soc)

I just came accross this thread...shame on everybody who voted for Last Crusade!!! :) I mean they are all good films but the only one worthy of the tag "Great Film" is Raiders of the Lost Ark and these are reasons why

    1. Greatest start to any film ever
    2. Bald guy versus Indy + propellor = bad idea
    3. Horse Vs Truck..no way!!!

Anyway I shouldnt be too critical of all you misguided people..just watch Raiders again - and you'll see what I'm saying :)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,503 ✭✭✭Makaveli

Well three years ago I voted for Raiders and nothing has changed there, still my favourite.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,386 ✭✭✭smuckers

I have to go for Last Crusade, the worst is Temple of Doom, party cause the others focused on relics and shortround is in it, at times its like The Goonies, he's funny in the beginning but grows old fast.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 447 ✭✭evillive

for bringing the whole indiana jones thing to us Raiders has to be the best film how cool was it when it came out?

but the best story is The Last Crusade

This is wierd!! I was looking through this thread (not looking at the dates) and I found a message from myself and i couldn't remember when I did it, I thought i must have been hungover or something...didn't think these threads kept on the boards for so long, like going back in time.

The Last Crusade, definately the best / funniest / most entertaining. :)
