Does anybody know just how the skin head hairstyle became associated with Neo Natzism? Didn't Hitler want everyone to be tall with blond hair?

Let me say I'm not a neo-nazi, but the fact is I live in a rough area. That is why I don't wear my ear rings and when I was practicing Tae-Kwon Do the instructors impressed onto people how easy it was for someone tor grab you by the hair in a street fight, plus having a shaved head makes it easy to keep, jump into shower and out of shower head maintenance done.

The whole Skin Image was taken from the Ska music scene in the 1960s.Based around inner city working class areas its dress code of Doc Martins and Braces and short hair reflected its working class sensibilities.
The NF stole the tough no nonsense image and gradually began to distance it from its jamaican musical origins.
The NF would turn up to recruit members outside gigs by groups like Bad Manners and Madness.Even though the groups still retained a heavy Ska influence and included black musicians.
The East German Element picked up on the fashion during the cold war.The look was fairly easy to replicate compared to other youth fashions so had disproportionate popularity and longetivity amongst the young.(compare and contrast with new romanticsfer instance).
On the Neo Nazi scene there has been a total rejection of its ska origins. with the emergence of second generation Skin Bands such as the 4skins,Skrewdriver,No surrender,White noise,many of whom regularily played gigs in post wall east germany.

I have to assume you're serious. My understanding is that the Neo Natzi's, being followers of Hitler and his anti-semetic beliefs, perform this ritual based on Hitler's doctrine of religion of racial superiority. In other words, the true children of Israel are the white, Aryan, germanic, Anglo Saxon people - not the Jews. What better way to show you're a true Aryan - primarily blonde, short-haired - anything to look like Hitler Youth. Blue eyes just added to the 'perfect picture'. Hitler followed Neitze's anti-semetic philosophy.

Back to the question - Jews were primarily dark with longer hair in Germany - Aryans were blonde, short haired and blue eyed.
Ergo - short hair because not all Neo Natzi's are blonde and blue eyed but they can control the length of their hair. So, identify yourself the only way you can not to be mistaken for a 'Jew'.

I think you are overestimating the intelligence of neo nazis by a factor of about 500. Oh yeah, and Nietzsche's philosophy wasn't anti-semitic.

You're correct in that Nietzsche was by no means a blatant anti-semite, however, someone should have told Hitler that. When Nietzsche wrote 'that which does not kill us,makes us stronger', it was a clear signal to Hitler that Nietzsche was referring to the Jews who had become very strong in an aged environment. I'm sure you know that he was quite insane while he was resurrecting 'eternal recurrence' - add Hitler to the equation and what do you get?

As far as knowing any neo-natzi's personally, I can't say that I do but even fanatics aren't necessarily epsilon minus semi-morons. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
