Umm.....when the login box comes up, Click cancel. Then Add/Delete icons at will. Not having a copy of Win98SE to hand, There may also be a path c:\%windir%\profiles\all users\desktop\ where you can add your favourite icons, or it may be simply c:\%windir%\desktop\, I'm not sure :)

If you want to change icons like "My Computer" and the "Recycle Bin", you can use an app like Microangelo on Display or similar.

That's how I do it, anyways.

No that didn't work, and no i don't want to just change how they look.

The reason i asked is because i'm missing network neighbourhood, and i want to get rid of iexplorer and ms outlook.

its not very complicated.. no software needed.. go into display properties (right click desktop, click properties) then click effects and have phun.. you can hide or change the icon itself.. none of that old microangelo crap

AS for network neighborhood, will only be ther eif client for microsoft networks are installed.. and Internet explorer you need to right click and delete it! Or use that hide function i mentioned above

To get rid of IE and outlook, just delete the icon...what's the problem? I'm not sure about the network neaighbourhood icon, maybe it can be dragged onto the desktop?

azezil are you just being awkward or do you have something so specific that our obvious answers are not what your looking for.. like maybe the default icons for all users of a multuser profile system?

Install TweakUI if its registry hacks you need it will do it for you!
