Do any of you know of any good access type database applications available for download for linux.

Adabas from Sun Microsystems is no good to me cause it's not up to much.

Any other suggestions would be great.

    Thanks

    Google Is Your Friend

MySQL & PostgreSQL are the de facto standard for small to medium requirements, MySQL in particular for webapps. If you've got heavy iron and you need five nines and serious performance, Oracle is the kiddy, although Red Hat are tuning the arse off PostgreSQL with the Red Hat Database.

GUI's are pretty crappy at the moment, as far as I can see, although they're certainly out there. Best follow the Google links for more info on that.

I have found My SQL and an acceptable frontend- "My JavaAdmin" both are downloaded on mandrake 8.2 beta version but i cannot link the two of them.

    Any takers?
