Roberto Baggio retires

    Unfortunately we definitely won't be seeing the Divine Ponytail in one more World Cup, Baggio has decided to retire after a knee operation was going to leave him out for the next six months :(

    I read that his agent refused to comment on the fact that Baggio might be retiring. But a call up to the Itallian side for the World Cup looks unlikely due to Injuries and Surgeries.

    He's not retiring AFAIK - he still wants to beat the Serie A scoring record...check out www.worldsoccernews.com ,there was an article about it a day or two ago.

    I reeeeally want to see him in the world cup again :(
