PS2 and Dolby 5.1

    um, i'm soon hopefully getting a W/S TV. Since i have PS2 i see no point in buying a DVD player. I'm just wonderin if i will be able to use all these sound systems like Dolby 5.1 etc with my PS2?

    yep, you'll need a dolby compatible amp or receiver though with an optical in... connect your speakers to that and away you go in lovely dolby 5.1 or DTS...
    (ssx tricky aint half bad sounding that way either)

    Although it's only for those games that have the the sound encoded in DTS or DD5.1, correct?

    Otherwise it's Dolby Digital, innit?

    Yeah Tricky does sounds sweet in DTS.
