What really annoys me is people who eat breakfast at their desk !!
Is that lazy or what ?
For example every morning in work, a bloke arrives on the dot at 7am...with a bowl, cereal and carton of milk and proceeds to eat it in full view of everyone else.....*yuck*
He is too flippin mean to go to the canteen and buy a breakfast !!
Next people like that will arrive in their pyjamas and get dressed at their desk, or starting to have a shower in the toilets :)
    Anyone agree ??!

does anyone else notice clinical waste's constant references to masturbation.

other than that getting into work for 7 means getting up early(i should know as i have done it for the last 8 months) eating breakfast before this means getting up 15 mins earlier so if you can enjoy these extra minutes in bed-do it. eat breakfast in work. It means that you get paid for eating.

I eat breakfast at work (on the days I do eat it). Not generally @ my desk though, usually the kitchen. it's just handy, and there's milk there (I usually forget about milk and it goes off b4 I use it).

Also, there's a shower in our washroom, and that comes in handy too. What's wrong with that? You obvious never cycled a day in your life.

What the hell is wrong with eating your breakkie at your desk? What's wrong with bringing it in to work with you?

Box of cereal is about €3 and you need a new one every 2 weeks - buying it every day at work could be €1.50 a day if it's subsidised or a lot more if it's not.
Money saved per month: €25 (being generous).
Not a lot of money, true, but it's the difference between a good night out and a MAD night out ;)

Eating at your desk is dead handy cause you can catch up on the news or something before starting work properly, thus saving your employer a few bob in less time wasted.

Wake up mate - the world will not end cause your colleague eats his breakkie at his desk!

This working generation has no respect I tells ya, why in my day , we didnt have no tv, video games and cerials for breakfast - we had a lump of coal and that did you for all your meals - add milk , no way you eat this thing raw!!

B'fast at work means I get to beat the traffic, get paid to eat and it & surf the web when its at its fastest, and I get to save money not buying crap everyday.

Good wholesome Healthy nutritional start to the day.
(Monty probably has visions of me starting it in other ways, but thats his private nightmare)

I eat brekfast at my desk. I tend to work as I eat, and no it's not cereal.

As for coming to work in your pyjamas, that's what telecommuting is for. :)

I always chow down at my desk in the morning. As stated a number of times above, it beats trying to fit in an extra 15 mins at home. It's never slurpy cereal (dribbly milky chin - attractive) and I work while I eat.

What pisses me off is those who announce "I start work at 8am each morning" When in fact they're only physically present in the building from 8am - they spend most of the time between 8 and 9 guzzling sausage sandwiches and reading the paper.

    Gits.

some people should be concentrating on their own work rather than on what others are doing.

Oh? And what people would those be?

    Lock and Load.

    0wned by Victor.

I honestly don't see any problem with people eating at their desk, so long as they're not being offensive or suggestively mouthing carrots (well, it's ok if it's a woman :D).
It's the people who won't share their munchies that I get grieved at. Surely they can't scoff the whole packet of Reisen??? Too mcuh dark choclatey goodness to keep to one's self I say!

what i should have said have said was people should not be worying about others, they should be getting on with their work, or posting to boards.ie which is probably except you dont get paid for it, (except for us moderators who get paid to keep you rogues out there in line)

yeh, but if u got up 15 min early in order to have your breakfast or u went to bed 15 min earlier each night to make up for it !!

i dont have a prob with ppl eating at desks....its the ones who are too lazy to at least eat their breakfast at home, especially those who eat a bowl of cereal, u know who ye are :)
ie...too bedridden to either get up 15 min earlier or buy that breakfast in the canteen !!

This is a very stupid thread.
I personally don't give a shíte... even if I went to bed 15 mins earlier, I'd still want the extra 15 in bed in the morn. also, you're talking people saving on money, and also being at the comfort of their own desk (if there is such a thing :) ) so I am lazy as you say and that's what annoys you.
So your grievance is nothing to do with ppl eating brekkie, but lazy gits!? Or are you backing out of your original argument now that the majority of boards reckons it's cool!!?

When did we start to get paid to be Mods??? I want my cheque I tells ya :p

Any way I dont mind ppl eating at their desks as long as they have some manners (not munching out lound or eating really smelly foods and not using their greasy fingers on the keyboard then expect you to type on in when your helping them  ). I eat at my desk and I work at the same time just because you are not typing doesn't mean your not working.

What anoys me most in the office is ppl talking loud when your on the phone (a real pet hate of mine). That and when they stand right behind you when your on the phone.

Manners dont cost anything and of I see someone on the phone I keep it quite and I dont eat smelly foods in the open office.

Or the person who walks over then leans over to read what you have on your screen. I used to have desktop for such a guy. :) It had small text sideways on the screen so he would have to get real close and turn his head and it said "What **** are you doing so close to my screen, piss off and do some work and don't be so bloody nosey". :)

    Worked a treat.
