hmm...no thanks, apparently it requires a lot of voltage to even operate reliably with a large amount of devices.

not to mention intel's production problems in israel due to the recent troubles there. They had to move most of the P4's manufacturing process back to leixlip. Can anyone say 'shortage' ? smile.gif

    overpriced and underpowered.

"If they think this compares to Athlon they are joking. At 1.5GHz the P4 is outperformed by a PIII 933, never mind an Athlon 1GHz which urinates in rather copious quantities over the oversized, overcomplicated piece of silicon."

I'm sticking with AMD. All we hear from intel these days is delays, fup ups, and steep prices.

    WAN DE ATHLON!!!

i heard that cyrix have a new chip made on a rubber and granite basis. 7 quadroflops reactions (obviously linked in two) a second, and a 1110 kb onboard cache.
it has passed the stone hammer test and can even sit through a bad movie. all that it needs now is to pass the glass hammer test and there is a slight problem with its 100% reliance on ternary operations./.
