Esat.net's fibre optic network fell on it's **** yesterday afternoon, causing me some minor headaches (I'm currently in charge of support in the company, meaning, among other things, that I get do wear a fireman's helmet... don't ask...!). Thing is, I now have to explain this to our clients - can anyone tell me just how long it was down for so I can tell them just how long their web sites were knocked off the Internet for?

    Cheers.

Knocked out at about 5'o'clock yesterday.

From checking it out, it seemed to go belly up at about 4.45pm yesterday evening and started returning to normal around 5 or 6am this morning. Our customers are happy enough that it wasn't our fault anyway.

It wasn't, by the way. wink.gif
