since the digital camera has the ability to act as a video camera while it's connected to the PC, my sister had the bright idea of trying to video my nephew's birthday. She ended up with a lot of bad quality footage of kids running around in the distance, about an hour of when someone accidently turned the camera to face the computer and about 20 minutes she wants to keep.

The video editing tools that came with it are woeful. Does anyone know of one thats very easy to use? For someone who has trouble using microsoft word?

Not really, they all need a bit of getting used to, but something like adobe premiere would be a good start.
