    any one tell me why the clock on my Win98 PIII machine here in work looses about 5mins per day...constantly have to adjust it forward...wheras me p200's W95 are always fine..?

    yeah, your bios battery needs to be replaced.
    go into the bios and check the time in that. if its wrong as well, then thats your problem. if your bios clock is fine and its just windows that has the problem, then i think theres a patch or update or something.
    run windows update or install ie5 or something stupid or something...

    IE 5 is pants, gives me error blah everytime I close a window.
    And my taskbar clock goes back an hour every few weeks, for no reason.

    It's about a society in freefall....

    whats the network setup like, are you using a novell client?

    I find the clock constantly losing time on my work machine, this is in winnt mind you. Its probably somthing to do with your user profile.
