Hello and Happy New year to all on this forum....
For the want of something better to do, I telephoned Sky today at their freephone number 1800 535 767.
I enquired as to the new charges in Euro for the irish customer. i was told that since the UK was not in the Euro area they could not quote me. I explained that as Sky broadacasts over here with many thousand suscribers they should have it in their system. I was put on hold and eventually given an apology. The price quoted for the family pack was 26 euro. I asked them to recheck and they were doing a currency change from Sterling to Euro.
Again another apology, another check and I was informed they would recheck. I was then told it would be almost 22 euro. Is this correct?????
I think that Sky should have had this info available since Jan 1st. Anyone else agree......
Also the ad that features on neighbour waking up another at 4am and telling him to join sky....you know the one where they get 50 pounds in dunnes stores vouchers...this is running again today jan 2nd...... this should be changed to euro. Sky have all the technology. What is so difficult in updating their computer to euro for the customers in the ROI?????

Customer services was down for several hours a few days ago for €uro upgrades, so I guess not everyone was trained properly. ;)
