Just what the hell is this? The hard drive is displays its free space like that, when its a 2gig HD.

Its constantly telling me the HD space is full when I know for a fact I've got at least 500mb free.

    Help please!

I would say you have a virus of some type playing havok with your system.... Its also concerning that NAV auto protect isn't running.... Course of action, run scandisk/get latest virus definitations and then do a full virus scan.

    Oh!!
    Re-enable auto protect!

I dunno. This PC did have Virus trouble before. Althought I do have the latest updates and scan the HD regularly...I found nothing lately and this problem is a few months old.

The reason I have autoprotect off is because this pc is bleedin slow as a mule (cyrix 266 :/) and leaving it on really adds alot of pressure. The only time I use it is when I'm putting in a floppy or scanning a new file I downloaded.

I think someone told me once it could be a problem with the hardrive and the motherboard might need an updated bios.

It's strange....the problem only happens every 3 or 4 times the PC is restarted. Othertimes it's okay.
