I can't remember. There are a certain range of IP addresses that won't route over the internet. anyone remember off hand what they are?

    192.68.* ? Is that correct?

That's right, 192.168.x.x is reserved for internal LAN use.

    Also reserved is:
    0.0.0.0 & 255.255.255.255 (both are broadcast addresses)
    127.0.0.0 (loopback)
    10.0.0.0 to 10.255.255.255 and
    172.16.0.0 to 172.31.255.255
the last two are also reserved for LAN use.
Routers won't route packets with these addresses.

As well as these, Class D addresses (224.0.0.0 to 239.255.255.255) are used for multicasting technologies and Class E (240.0.0.0 to 247. 255.255.255) are reserved for future use.

Last time I checked loopback was 127.0.0.1

Also ARIN is going to begin allocating IP blocks from 65.0.0.0/8 and 66.0.0.0/8
