While in bed recently I was pondering the subject of what will become of our humble penny sweet will it become a "Cent-sweet"
I can't imagine that retailers or producers would be happy with that so will our penny sweet become a ,dare I say it "2cent-sweet" does anyone know of the fate of my favourite confectionary item.
P.S. if this topic has been discussed previously feel free to beat me about the head.

my guess is that they will either make them smaller and call it a 1cent sweet.................

    OR

Make it bigger and call it a 2cent sweet.

Have you noticed the way nothing in there is a pound? It's always 99p or £1.99 now how does that work

Surely it should be called random price world :p

well they made the pennies smaller why not the sweets.

i'm sure couches all over europe will be swallowing them up bigtime these new pennies are bloody tiny

the picture shows their size in relation to an irish penny by the way.

I've been wondering the same thing and I've got a couple of possible outcomes.

Penny sweets or cent sweets will become smaller they will be 79% of what they used to be.

The greedy shopkeepers will start selling them at 2 cent a sweet.

With everybody concerned about the new currency dentists and the likes will use it as a smoke screen to ban all small jelly sweets leaving a world devoid of all sugary chewiness.

One 01/01/2002 all the computer systems will **** up for some reason I call it the Y002K problem this will not be sloved ontill 2007 when they Y007K problem cancels it out.

We are through the looking glass here people!

    (Cheers WWM)
