I have been helping my aunt discover her real parents over the internet but i can only do so much.
Every day she asks me is there any update on the emails, but i can never say yes.
At the moment i am looking about in www.adoptionireland.com and its doing nothing.
Any people on the boards that found their bio' parents, or know someone that found them - please tell me what route you took in doing it.
Its hard enough to help her knowing that there is little chance that we will make any progress when she thinks that the internet will solve all the problems

However, I do understand that many older records were falsified as to the mother's identity and this makes tracing particularly difficult..

While the age profile of boards.ie dictates against the likelyhood of the parents being here, it is a possibility and Ireland is a small country. Do you want to ask your aunt if you can put some details up here?

Perhaps boards.ie could highlight a few particular cases that people feel relevant (perhaps this is what you are trying here). And do the same with afew other charity groups.

Vict0r, cheers m8 good idea but i dont think that it is a good idea to post personal info on a public board and having her a bit sketchy
Anyone that found parents or knows someone that did post how you did.
