    Hi guys,
is rambus memory worth the extra cost? Its slightly over twice as expensive. Dell claims its 116% faster than sdram, because it can be accessed multiple times per clock cycle. Fair enough, but is it worth it? The pcs would be used for very processor and memory intensive tasks, (circuitry design and testing). Is it worth the extra money?

Boll0x it is. Go read all the stuff on Toms Hardware - he took apart Dells figures and showed them to be sh1te.

Use the extra cash to bug bigger sdram chips.

I agree, rambus is crap. Dell are only selling it because intel are forcing them too. Ridiculously expensive also
