    Where can I download the service pack for the 1st release of win98.
    I dont want the crappy auto update option just a downloadable .exe.
    If you answer this Q. with www.microsoft.com please include the full url or else I'll find out where you live, come round and...cry loudly.

    Just go to the update section and select look for latest updates in the MS site.

    It wouldn't be possible really to give a link as MS forever change thier URL's to stop people directly linking to stuff that they have to sit through 10 screens of crap to find.

    Wont work hobbes. I'm on an NT box in work with a T3 so I want to do it here and bring it home.
    Ta anyway.

    Oh yeah, does IE5 update the relevant '98 files ? Just a thought.
