Who NEIS and why are they getting at me?

    Several times this evening my PC has been the subject of
    an attempted port scan or similair by North Eastern Interent Services of Dundalk.

    If anyone is from NEIS is reading this BOG OFF!

    Now Indigo are saying hello, why do they do this?

    Now the Russians are comming, Sovam Teleport of Moscow
    are on the line...

    I think I've seen these muppets before. Basically they are running one or two Nimda infected boxes. The IP range is in the 194.125.101.xxx if I remember correctly. IOL/Postgem supplies their connectivity so e-mail noc@iol.ie and the relevant NEIS contact with the relevant log fragments.

    It is Nimda Worm activity. Indigo is riddled with Nimda and seemed to be the worst infected. Basically it was Indigo dialup boxes running W2K that were getting hit and then working outwards from their own Class C trying to infect every other 'doze box it can find.
