The Latvian president, Vaira Vike-Freiberga, yesterday labelled her "mentally unstable".

"There are mentally unstable and ill people who wish to stick out at such occasions in all countries," she said.

Mentally unstable is right. Why didn't she use a brick?

I just heard about it earlier on sky news and feel that 15 years is appaling, imho she should be given a medal although I think that she should have used a 9 inch block!

i think that the government labelled it as an "attack on a foriegn ministers life" or summin on those lines!

Shell never get 15 years.Even if she did Political Correctness would force Charlie to step in and get her released.These sentences are seldom given.In the US you might read lets say about a celeb who faces 15-20 years for carrying a gun or having a tiny amount of drugs,or even a minor assault.But itd seldom be passed,if every1 convicted of assault got that half the us would be in jail.
