Will a Mac Moniter work on a PC... ?

    Ello,

    A friend picked up a 17" "ForMac" moniter (17/500). Now it lookd likr this moniter is for a MAC, but can anyone tell me if a moniter for a mac work on a PC ?

    Can't see any reason why it wouldn't work Bubbles. Its probabley a standard monitor badged for MAC like Dell badge Sony monitors, this doesn't mean it won't work on a Compaq or Gateway(it would be a sin to run a Trinitron on a Compaq or Gateway though tongue.gif)

    If it's an old mac monitor you'll need a converter for the monitor cable. Otherwise all the later macs (eg. Powerbook) plug straight into a normal monitor.

    dang... wish I knew about those cable converters a year ago when I was buying my current PC, - could have not bothered with the 17" VDU I got and taken the nice 21" Mac one I was being offered for nowt (accckkk!)
