The reviews for BEE's books are notoriously polarised. He recieves so much publicity on the publication of his novels that it is sometimes hard to see through all the hype and buzz.

I have my own opinions on his work but would be very interested in hearing how others think.

Cynical attempts to shock and gain publicity or work of serious literature?

    What do you think?

only ever rd less than zero, and that so long ago ...

based on one bk and lots of reviews/interviews/comment pieces, i'm of the opinion that bee is of a school of modern authors. the work is showy, quite literate(ish) but - ultimately - lacking in any substance save a surface sheen of authenticity.
