I was Lansdowne Road last night and i was deeply disappointed with the atmosphere after bieng at the Holland game i thought that people should continue the party atmosphere

But out of the roughly 2000 people around us tere was 4 of us singing and as we left early to get the dart some people started booing us and others cheering.

When eveyone in half the instand could the voices of 4 and the voice of Mick McCarthy when we quiet (yes it was that quiet).

So for the playoff wheter it be in Lansdowne, Budapest or Prague I hope only the true fans who are willing to sing are allowed in. If and one here was between EUU and EUZ I weas one of the crazy people singing

I should have streaked like ur man.

COME ON U BOYS IN GREEN

you try get to Connolly station for a train that leaves twenty minutes after kick off with out leaving the game three or four minutes early.

Pity we can't get a nice stadium built in Cork or Limerick coz thats were must of us TRUE FANS come from not the Dublin "my daddy got me a ticket because his friend works in the FAI " fans

yes go easy on the Limerick 'true' fans, they risk thier lives kniving people for tickets like.

Well Bloody Drunkard if newspaper reports are to be believed then your going to have bigger problems getting seats for the next WC qualifying campaign at home. FIFA have told the FAI that they will no longer consider the tempory bucket seats that they install as proper seats therefore slashing Lansdowne Roads capacity from approx 35,000 to 22,000. Considering now that Eircon Park is now dead and Berties Bowl looks like its being caught up in the Governments diddering over the economic slowdown and isn't due to be started until 2004 I think you'll be watching the matches on TV or should I say PPV TV as the FAI will have to try and claw more cash out of us fans someway :(

Croke Park seems the logical choice then. Let's hope the GAA grows up a bit!

P.S. I know for a fact that they have temporary seating installed in parts of De Kuip stadium in Rotterdam, strange that UEFA let them use it during Euro 2000.

Things is I have 4 seats on the East Stand which I was told I would be re-offered for the next campaign and as far as I know (and coorrect me if I am wrong) the East Stand is permanent seating so I should be o.k.

I heard a rumour today that the F.A.I. will be pffered a neutral game in either Rome, Nicosia or Moscow. I'd love a trip to Rome , I might be able to get to Cyprus, But Moscow NO THANK YOU. SO hopefully if we can't (or won't) play home and away then please FAI pick Rome.

I agree very much with you Drunkard, the atmosphears at the games is very subdued, I used to go to all the qualifying campaigns both home and very occasionally away when money was good.

Most the people that seem to get tickets should be kicked up the asses and sent home and the tickets given to true supporters, they come in 10 mins late leave 10 mins early and barely open their mouths for the whole game.

Whenever ya start trying to cheer the lads on or get something going they look at you as if you have two heads

Then again football supporters theres not many loons left who goto add to the atmosphear and not just sit there as if it were on tv.

Although at the away games ya get the genuine supporters and the atmosphear is unreal, I remeber in Amsterdam back in that beautiful september evening, the fans were unreal the atmosphear was electric, every single person who was there was up for it and not a suit in site ;)

In truth I doubt theres ever been an atmosphere at Lansdowne. It should be like the Holland game for ever match.

Sadly it would seem most people at these games keep looking for the replay as the only football they see is on Sky!
