boot with cd drive

    can you dl a boot disk that will boot with cd rom ? r make it yourself what files you need . its been a long time since i needed . one. or even better to boot from cd

    under win9x make a bootable recovery floppy and burn it on to the cd.

    You need a util to setup the Bootimage file from the disk. Just burning the Floppy data wont work as you need an El-Torito standard Boot sector on the CD.

    Adaptec Easy CD creator 3.5 can do it pretty easily, so should most other Burn software out in the last year.

    There are a few free utils on the Web to help aswell but they're usually a lot more awkward.

    get someon to give ye a copy of their win98 boot disk,,, that has cd boot as an option on starting up smile.gif

    Just get someone else to make you a Win98 Startup disk and that'll support Atapi Cd-Rom's
