Anyone else looking forward to the return of naked camera? Best show ever to come out of Ireland (yep, even better than father ted!!!)

Jake Stevens should get his own show!

Topical question: Do u fancy the woman on the show who goes around desperate for a date???

There are very few things better than Fr. Ted (which you could probably count as English since it was made by Hatrick for channel 4), but that mediocre excuse for a hidden camera show is not.

She (Maeve Higgins) is fine by me. She used to do a spot on Ray D'arcys radio show on Tues mornings, just talking about anything at all, she had a lovely voice and a fabulously wacky sense of humour. I'd date her, no probs.

Sigh, Father Ted was not a british show, don't talk bollocks.

Can they really make another series?

They had 4 actors and surely with all the tv they've done to advertise the first series they could hardly make another one in the same vein.

That said nobody seemed to recognise Eoin McLove.

It was produced and funded in England by hatrick/channel 4. Some of it (if not all, I'm not too sure) just happend to be made here.

    Its ok but not brilliant.

Anybody know if stew is returning? i hope not because it was absolutly terrible and a crime to irish television.

It was very hit and miss.
    jake was fantastic though.

It's Irish. It was written by Irish people, created by Irish people and it starred Irish people. Just because it was made with British money doesen't mean it's British

Yeah I like Maeve Higgins, she's a good comedian. Seen her do stand up twice. Very funny.

You may like to think that, but you're wrong.

Does that make the Committments a british Movie? What about BallyK?

Some of Father Ted was filmed in here.

Father Ted was and is Irish. Just because TV3 or RTÉ didn't produce it doesn't mean it's not Irish.

Is The Bronxy Bunny Show Irish? It won the award for best Entertainment Last year.

You misunderstand me, yes it was made by Hatrick but it was undeniably irish, the actors, the content, etc.

The Father Ted creators were Irish so that classifys it (in my opinion!) as Irish however NAKED CAMERA rules!!

    :-)

How can anyone argue that Fr. Ted isn't Irish? Its about Irish priests, with Irish actors, written by Irish people and appeals to a mainly Irish audience. As said before, the fact that it was made by British money makes little or no difference.

As for Naked Camera, I'm looking forward to it. I don't think it will be as good this time around however, but it should still have a few laughs.

i think the show is great too, i saw jake stevens filming outside the gaiety then i saw that other fellow(eoin mcglove from father ted)filming at the luas beside stephens green.

i watched him for afew minutes but everyone he approached recognised him, they will have to get a new cast like punkd do every season.:(
