3 members of my family have ipods. We stored all out music on the house computer cause it had the biggest hard drive.

Unfortunatley PC had to be sent back and when it came back HD was reformatted and all the family music was wiped!

Anyways I've aprox 1000cds and I dont fancy ripping them all over again.

Is there any way off getting the music from the iPods back on to the HD?

I didnt even now there was a problem till I came home to find the pc was gone.

I use my own laptop and use the house pc for storing music and only go to that if I'm changing playlists or what ever

Legally/officially there's no way to take your music back off your IPOD for various copyright reasons ...

There's plenty of 3rd party tools which show up with a quick google, so I'm told.
