For play money it doesn't really matter as far as i can see, you won't learn very much tho, unless you just want to get used to how the betting works and get used to the interface.

but as far as playing's concerned it's pretty much a waste of time imo

I'd say pokerstars might be the best place to try. They take their low limit cash games pretty seriously so I'd say it might be the same with their play money.

Any of the big bookmaking firms (Paddy Power, Ladbrokes, Boylesports, VC, etc) in this country will let you deposit in the shop, in cash. That's how I got started online.

play the freerolls that don't need any action points on paddy power.

if u don't know what action points are then study the paddy power site.

but stay away from cash tables until you're sick of play money tables.

hopefully u'll be over 18 by then.

    gl.

    forget about lodging money.

there's no money to be made in it until you get to a certain level which takes years.
get a job in a bar where theres lots of pretty girls to look at. u'll make more money and have a better time.

poker is for old men and deluded fools.

however if you still want to try it you'll find me on the 20 dollar sit and gos on paddy power.

but all kidding aside stick to music and snogging, its a lot cheaper.

PokerStars have playmoney tournaments with as many as 5,000 players. Full Tilt are very good for play money. If you lose your playmoney chips you just go to the cashier and reload your playmoney chips.

One thing to be clear about - if you are using an ordinary dial-up phone line you can easily run up a very large phone bill (hundreds of €uro). You need broadband internet access at a fixed monthly charge. I use Irish Broadband at a fixed monthly charge of €18.95. I can stay online as long as I like and it is still €18.95. If in doubt ask the person paying the bill (parents).

A better solution if you are a beginner is to buy poker software from Wilson Software for about $90 and practice on that. They have many different programs. I suggest Tournament Texas Hold Em.

Also be aware that if you are under the age of 18 and are playing for real money, you may have problems when you try to cash out or if the poker site you play on finds out, since I'm sure all poker sites have it in the Terms & Conditions that you must be >18 years old to play.
Your account might get frozen/funds taken.

Apparently Daniel Negreanu has a new texas holdem game for the Playstation and Xbox.

Should suit you down to the ground.

Excellent advice. Best play money is probably Pokerstars alright, download their free to play software at www.pokerstars.net

just played the toughest stt yet. the heads up lasted longer than the rest of it.
anybody knowa player called whitesox on ppp? very good. i won it but only just.

read Daniel Neg's new post on fullcontactpoker.com
he dropped half a million over the past few days and he was ahead most of the time.
whats the lesson for me? only that its not about winning or losing its about money management, controlling the limits. what i mean is i can win a dozen stts at five dollars a go and then lose 2 at 100 a go and thats it, its over. the point may seem obvious but in the heat of martingale system betting fury it can get scary.

so watch ur limits boys and girls coz its a cold world out there.

and yes i have been supping. erdinger kristallklarr. i'm having one more and calling it a night.

    it's

'balls deep in the Church of your Mother'

    now thats just nasty.
