But is it really a bad beat? (Not a BB)

    Just looking at some of the bad beat HH's in the bad beat sticky, and some of them don't seem to be bad beats at all (this is not a moan about BB's)

    Your nearing the bubble of a MTT live/online short stacked

    you push with JT Called by AQ

    Flop comes

    J T A

    Turns a blank

    river's a Q

    Do you consider this a bad beat? if so, why ?

    I'm of the opinion if you're an underdog when the money goes in then you've no reason to be dribbling about BB's regardless what happens after.

    Definately not. Most people would say it is a bad beat if the J10 wins, which is also not true.

    i think a 3\1 is the cutoff for badbeats ie AK losing to AQ

    Yeah, I know what a bad beat is :D

    It's just funny the amount of people who consider a bad beat when they were behind when the money went in, ahead on the flop and beaten on the turn or river...

    If you're behind when you go all-in is not a bad beat ever.
