    Chorus Digital Network Configuration

    Hi,

    I disconnected cables to Chorus Digital MMDS aerial last night while flooring the attic. When I reconnected the cables and turned on my tv & decoder there was a screen called Network Configuration. I rang Chorus for assistance and was told to unplug the decoder for about 30 minutes. Needless to say this made no difference.

    Could someone out there please give me the values required to get my TV service working again and explain the procedure? I know that it is only a case of entering the correct values for the Sallins area in Co. Kildare.

    Network no. : ?
    Frequency in kHz: ?
    OFDM Mode: ?
    Modulation: ?
    Code Rate: ?
    Guard interval: ?
    Bandwidth: ?
    Hierarchy info: ?

    I would be grateful for any help offered.

    Ah, the good ol' excuse they always give :rolleyes:
    Firstly, are you sure that you re-connected everything perfectly? Usually the boxes only boot into the Network Setup after a loss of signal or if you don't have any antennae connected.

    Anyway here are the settings:
    Network No = 51
    Freq = 282000 kHz
    OFDM Mode = 8k
    Mod = QAM 64
    Code Rate = 2/3
    Guard interval = 1/32
    Bandwidth = 8 mHz
    Hierarchy Info = None

    The first two settings may be slightly different for your area - unfortunately only chorus themselves can give this out.

    As a temporary fix, you could try setting the Network Type from "Transponder" to "Automatic" - the box will then search for channels automatically and arrange them by frequency (you will also be able to see two hidden "test" channels), you could do this as a temporary fix.

    Thanks for the reply.:)
    I'll try that this evening.
    Not sure why this info is not given on the Chorus website.
