    pm me if you want some literature on plyometrics. i think many trainees jump into it before a good enough base in strength/tendon str is developed. when the russians starting using it(verstanshanski etc) they recommended such things as x2 bodyweight squat as a requirement. that was not for the fun of it. many western interpretations(american) don't really understand the big picture of plyo. i can give you literature if you want. pm me if you do.(a nice short sweet chapter from mel siffs book supertraining should suffice.

    plyometrics are difficult to get right from reading a book. I'd get an instructor that knows what there at to show correct form.

    great advice. couldnt agree more. i have found that the more autonomy and self knowledge an athete has on an area the more he excels at it. MOst athetes lets take taek won do for ex. the higher dans will have more knowledge....but an quality instructor is paramount. hard to find here. perhaps easier if you lived in russia. UL in limerick? probably a good place to learn. just make sure to learn from the right person. a good str/condit. coach

    I hadnt seen that before but i've been doing those exercises for about 6 months and my vertical has gone from sub 18" (march) to >26" (just measured tonight),

    You need a rounded program though. i cant say for sure if it was the OL's described there or plyometrics or the fact that ive built up to an A2G squat 500lbs or whatever that did it but im fairly sure it was a combination of all those.
