Help, I'm heading to New York in a couple of weeks and I only have 4 days shopping so I can't go to both centres. I've heard great things about both but can't decide which one is better for picking up clothes for myself...27 yr girl and xmas presents for friends and family...Any advise would be welcome:D

Well, if it counts for anything, I was on plane back from NY Thanksgiving sales time last year, and from all the women on the plane, Jersey Gardens definitely won that vote.

Yeah I think the plan in Jersey Gardens at the moment but I don't want to feel like I'm gonna miss out on anything by not going to Woodbury Common..suppose it's my own fault for only booking 4 days...Did you do any shopping while you were over there? Tks for your reply

    One thing to note
Sales tax (VAT) in New York is 8.26%
    In New Jersey it's 6 %
So items are 2.86% more expensive in Woodbury Common than in Jersey Gardens straight away.
Most prices in US are quoted excluding Sales Tax.

I've been to both since I'm local.... and irrelevant to the fact that I live in New Jersey, the Gardens is definitely better than Woodbury... a little less crowded too... good luck!! weather here is unseasonably warm for this time of year... 23 degrees C!!!

I was only in Jersey Gardens.. Tis bloody massive but I came away somewhat underwhelmed to be honest.. Mind you, did manage to get a nice Seiko watch for 300 dollars that costs nearly 400 sterling in the UK :)

I've only been to Woodbury common as I have relations in Peekskill. I think Woodbury Common is superb but very, very busy.

I was there this summer as well, also underwhelmed, but I'd imagine I'd be even more underwhelmed by Woodbury Common (all those "cool" labels/brands would get me down)...

Anyway don't get over-excited about the deals, I found shopping in NY to be not much more expensive and better choices... and also some real bargains if you dig around

wasnt impressed with woodbury commons at all. the gear there tends to be a tad outdated imo.
