3dmax low fps

    i just installed 3dmark 05 and am getting as low as 10 fps at the very start :confused: i have a 6800GT all the performence settings are on app control, all my other games run smmoth, like FEAR and all , wtf is going on with 3dmark ?

    oh and i use 81.85 drive

    i just got 2147 mark :(:( my 9800Pro did better then that! :cry:

    Are you having problems with 3dsmax or 3dMark?
    I'm running a Dell Optiplex Celeron 2.4Ghz with on-board gfx and 3dsmax and Maya run grand here!
    Your post seem to have conflicting messages! Please claify!
    3dMark is crap anyways!

    Solution: if the games run fine, don't get hung up on e-penis inflation stat programs.

    lool, i ment to say 3d mark 05 ,am going crazy about 3d max so mixed up lol sorry,

    i got a 2147 mark with 0xAA on both 3d mark and nvidia control pannel settings,
    then i tried to run it with 4xAA and i got 2120 marks, so i might have some problems with the control pannel :confused: it sais AA is off, but games (3dmark) are running with AA on,

    Have you got all the latest drivers? Reformatted your PC lately ? (3dmark is very sensitive to having anything else installed and hogging resources.

    Switched from an ATI card to an Nvidia card without using driver cleaner?

    2 things...

    1/ 3d mark is nvidia biased

    2/ any graphics benchmarking program absolutely rapes your pc. i have an x800 xt and i get 10fps on some benchmarks.

    in short. dont worry about it. if you can play the games and they look good then who cares what some **** program says.

    wasn't it ATI biased, because nVidia pulled out of the partner program?

    Either way, it doesn't mean sh*t :)
