Best Lord of the Rings Xbox game to buy

Hi There,

Im not an xbox or games buff, but since I have a new 42"plasma I was hoping to purchase one of the LOTR games to see what its like playing it on the big screen and as they are now €10-€20 in xtra vision, I thought it would be a great time to get one of them.

Which one of them is the best for e.g. graphics and general game play?
Especially interested in Return of the King - is this the best one or is The third age the latest one?

Also - while Im at it, which game for the xbox has the best graphics (i.e. the best looking game for the xbox)?

Would really appreciate your replies and suggestions.

Graphics wise, I'd recommend a few;

Crimson Skies,
Chronicles of Riddick,
Rallisport Challenge 2,
Ghost Recon 2
Doom 3
Far Cry Instincts
Splinter Cell Chaos Theory
Half Life 2 (which will be out in a week or two)
Fight Night 2

They're all pretty good fun to play aswell. Never really liked any of the LOTR games except Battle for Middle Earth on the PC. All rather disapointing.

if you're loking for a bit of fun, i'd reccommend the fellowship of the ring. i have it for pc, not sure if it's on the xbox or not. i used to think the fellowship was alright. bit too easy though. of the ones i have played like return of the king and two towers and third age, i can't really recommend any to be that great.
if you're looking for good graphics i'd certainly recommend silent hill 4 the room, hitman contracts, csi dark motives, broken sword the sleeping dragon (these graphics are ok and if you are a fan of the series like i am you will really like the new 3d touch).
if you're looking for fun i'd recommend gta vice city, gta san andreas, ssx on tour, ssx 3(a bit short), hitman contracts again(sorry, but great game)

and there you go, my top whateverthehell number that was in both categories, sorry for the length, and that's not even all i can think of, but any more and my fingers will fall off:eek:

Panzer Dragoon Orta, Ninja Gaiden and Oddworld Strangers Wrath are some of the best looking games on the xbox. Halo 2 looks good as well but the framerate is a bit dodgy. JacoStanley some fantastic looking games (and also great games to play).

cheers guys , but i think Maxwell was primarily interested in Lord of the Rings games on the xbox, which if correct was also where I was coming from !

I was really after which LOTR game to get. I am just back from an xtravision store and I saw LOTR The Third Age for €12, so I picked it up as it seems to have really good graphics. Going to try it out tonight and see what I think.

Well I now have:
Hitman Contracts
Ninja Gaiden
LOTR The Third Age.

So these 3 should look well on the plasma!
