I haven't got a chance to read up on the announcement by the governement about the new transport plans. I'm just wondering about the green aspects. Was anything mentioned about the type of public transport that will be used? There's a few different models around europe of greener public transport. the sweedish thing here last week and I saw some biogas light rail thing briefly on the telly last monday week.

If it hasn't been mentioned is there a way we can try and get it into their heads. Not only petitions but also are there places where we can find the plans and the developers. I'm a big fan of spoonfeeding this kind of people. A petition on its own would be useless, handing them hard copies of sucess stories and developers might get you somewhere with these paople.
