    Playing in a work tournie.
Everybody pays up front (trust and all that;) !).
One person doesn't arrive and his blinds are posted automatically.
Absentee is BB and SB is not the brightest lightbulb.
Everybody else passes and SB just calls!
Does dealer deal the flop out and "betting" continues as normal even though there's nobody playing the BB or does the SB win the pot automatically as BB is not there?
I know on Pokerstars, SB wins the pot but what happens in a real game?

It is usually a rule specific to the house, I think alot of tournie organisers and casinos now fold you if you are not in your seat when the hand is dealt, which would make the SB the winner, but some would keep the BB hand live till he is bet out of it.

If this happens in the Fitz I burn a card and gently ask "would you like the pot?"
