Money Conversion

Hi! I don't know if im in the right forum. I have money from Argentina and want to change it back to euro's i went to 3 different banks today in carlow and they said they couldn't change it for me because they didn't stock it or something along those lines.


Is their any bank in Dublin that will.....

As far as I know, ARS is restricted still. The Banks won't buy it off you as only 5000 ARS in residual cash can be repatriated from free cash balances daily by foreign banks, and at that it's only those that have an account with a Branch in Argentina.
Since the ARS crashed a few years ago, anyone that held a balance was pretty screwed, and repatriation has been difficult with a few notable exceptions.

You may find somewhere like Thomas Cook or somewhere like that that will take it, but I would not hold out to much hope.

Out of interest, how much do you have?

443,000 its only worth bout 120euro i think but still i want to convert it over, so ur sayin ive no hope what so ever....

Can't see it happening myself, but you never know.
Your best bet may be to hope someone you know is going to pay a visit, and needs some readies.
