Can someone help me? I want to make backups of my dvd collection.

    Some of my dvds are copy protected and I just wanted to know if there was a way I could still make backups of them. And no, I'm not pirating them.

    Well, if you legitimately own them, I can recommend AnyDVD to remove the CSS protection on DVD's and CloneDVD to back them up.

    Both can be found at http://www.slysoft.com

    Yea, thanks Laguna. I do own them but I've had a few problems before because my lil brother damaged a few of my discs so I am gonna try and make backups in future just in case he does get his hands on them again.

    it's fair use,so..
    DVDShrink - if you don't want/or are unable to burn to DLayer or just want an idiot-friendly UI.

    DVD Shrink can accomodate DL disks. Just change the size to 8.5GB, create an ISO & burn with Nero or other such software.

    Just wondering what should you use just to make back up to your computer,just say you want to back them up to avi files?or can u just rip them with dvdshrink and watch them still?and what can u watch them with?just the usual?

    What I do is burn the DVD to iso & use a virtual drive to mount the DVD & view it - also means you can still burn to DVD/ CD later if you want.:D
