    Hello folks,

Have chorus at the minute and was just wanting to question a chorus installer if there is one in the building?

Well i wanted to put chorus in the other rooms and basically was just wondering how do i go about installing extra points in me house?

Any help greatly appreciated, catch me on msn or mail me or just post back here.

    Thanks in advance ;)

I'm not an installer but I do know about cable.

Chorus is just analogue right ? They have not gone digital yet.
In that case you just need a cable splitter (a little metal unit with plugs for in and out) and some cable (get good quality cable so you do not loose much signal and keep it as short as possible).

If you are splitting to more than one extra room them look into getting a signal booster / splitter.

If you were on a digital feed this is not so easy. You need a set top box for each tv. You can split the signal after it leaves the box if there is an RF output on the back of the box but then every tv you hook up would have the same channel on it.

Chorus analogue is encrypted AFAIK. You will need a seperate box for each point.

Edster and paulm are correct - you'll need a seperate box for each TV point as both analogue and digital are scrambled / encrypted. Splitting the feeds is pretty easy - you can get away with using splitters, but you'll need chorus to supply with the boxes (they don't supply analogue ones any more, only sagem digital ones). While they're out supplying you the box, you may as well let them install it aswell. Each digital box mirror sub is €15 which, considering what you get with a chorus digital package, is pretty steep.

    Hi,

I disconnected cables to Chorus Digital MMDS aerial last night while flooring the attic. When I reconnected the cables and turned on my tv & decoder there was a screen called Network Configuration. I rang Chorus for assistance and was told to unplug the decoder for about 30 minutes. Needless to say this made no difference.

Could someone out there please give me the values rquired to get my TV service working again and explain the procedure? I know that it is only a case of entering the correct values.

    Network no. : ?
    Frequency in kHz: ?
    OFDM Mode: ?
    Modulation: ?
    Code Rate: ?
    Guard interval: ?
    Bandwidth: ?
    Hierarchy info: ?

I would be grateful for any help offered.
