Copyrighted Material on ebay

    Ok, this may sound like a dumb question, it's obvious that selling copyrighted material is illegial but lately I've been shocked at the amount of people getting away with it. I'm not talking about people selling from China, etc, look at the guy selling item number 6446864377. If you look into his feedback, he's been making a nice little profit selling DVDs with the latest episodes of Lost Season 2, The OC Season 3, etc, etc. This guy is just an example of someone who has been doing it for a while and has gotten a large feedback from it, i.e. he hasn't got kicked off...

    So my question is this;

    -why are these guys not caught (taking into account the size of ebay, these guys are easy to find, the show is just on the tv!)?

    -when caught, do ebay go so far as to look to their paypal account to find out who they are and then prosecute them under copyright law?

    Or is it all just a case of 'He didn't pretend they were real, the buyer knew he was buying converted tv rips so there's no problem'?

    Report him to eBay. They'll claim that it is impossible to know if the stock is genuine or counterfeit. I'm sure that the record/film companies are formulating their response as I write!
