Ducking hell! Those mystery bus tours are getting out of control! I seriously doubt they adhere to the General regulations of the University Calendar, page G17 under "Concerts, dances and parties".

Specifically it states " Societies or clubs wishing to hold dances outside the College must apply to the Senior Dean at least three weeks before the proposed date."

Of course, the "Trinity mystery bus tour" is not associated with any clubs or societies, but then who authorised them to use the name of Trinity College, Dublin? In my opinion the good name of the university is being tarnished by this band wagon that goes round the country terrorising small communities.

I'm curious about the bus journey back home, that number of students who have consumed a large volume of alchohol + my memories of school bus trips and the drivers who refused to stop for 'comfort breaks'.

Think it might be the Law Soc's bank holiday trip to Galway - has been running for years. Photos usually surface some time before Christmas, with much embarassment to follow.

On another matter, G17 is now H18. And the section in question is amusing ('concert, dance, gig or discotheque').

Interesting. Have the general regulations regarding discipline been updated too? (I heard they were due for overhaul).

An aside: Has 'TCD' been sanctioned by College for use on www.boards.ie? And if not, why not? What if something was said under the auspices of Trinity College that was damaging? Is there a disclaimer on this section of boards? Or maybe this is completely anal.

Might be an addition to "Charter for Trinity College, Dublin Forum - READ ME FIRST"?
