i'm a student i can rise to 5euro for a month.

You could subscribe for just the month, change your avatar and then not resubscribe when it lapses. Odds are you'll keep the custom avatar.

last time i checked yeah you can, but i haven't seen anyone with one lately. Only saw wolfman and jkm(?) with animated avatars. The only reason I haven't subscribed is because i haven't been able to get my avatar, the one i have atm, animated.

No, animated sigs aren't allowed - subbed or not. A couple of people had them but they were removed.

Hmm.. can't find a definitive answer to this, but I really don't think so.

Animated anythings are a strain on the eyes anyway.. they're not allowed for good reason.

What makes you think it was ever any different? Custom avatars of any kind are a relatively new thing, they were never intended to be animated afaik.
