must they be used in the breeders cup?
are we allowed to add these to our current 6points for the week and bet a monster 12points on one race?
    will it snow this christmas?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,937 ✭✭✭fade2black

I think you know the answers to both questions. I know how much you'd love to put 12 points on some 1/4 shot running at some godforsaken place....:D

Can you split the six points over 2/3/4/5/6 different horses or must it all be on the one horse?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,937 ✭✭✭fade2black

usually rules apply Frodi...use the points as you please

Folklore with a superb win there.

Just a little note there lads, PriceWise picked the first two winners in the breeders cup. Never fails to impress.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,077 ✭✭✭joe.

Sorry for butting in folks, but I'm just wondering what the SP stands for in relation to betting?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,230 ✭✭✭scojones

3/3 for pricewise, Silvertrain saved my bank account somewhat.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,828 ✭✭✭Healio

I have two outa four in the fantasy comp, yay!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,080 ✭✭✭Crumbs

    SP = Starting Price

Also, just to note, it's the excellent James Willoughby who does Pricewise for the Breeders' Cup rather than the usual Tom Segal.

Anybody know the rest of his selections I can't find them anywhere. I could do with a winner, I feel it's not going to be my night after backing Whipper in the mile, talking about unlucky.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,757 ✭✭✭masterK

Some great tipping there lads, quite a few big priced winners. In particular well done to Davey Devil who looks to have this competition wrapped up after last night.

Nice spreadsheet by the way crumbs.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 7,230 ✭✭✭scojones

Very well done Davey, just my luck that all the winners I had were not my choices in the competition hehe.

I didn't even get to see the races, was out on the piss. Nice suprise to help cure the hangover.

Funnily enough my surname is also Willoughby.

What did you all think of the ride Kinane gave Azamour BTW. I didn't think he gave the horse a chance of winning. Whether he would have beat Shirroco i don't know but he is certainly better than Ace!

I was happy enough with the first four horses being from this side of the pond. I didn't get to see the race because I was out on the beer so I can't comment on Kinane's ride. Azamour was never going to win this race though.

    Good lad :)

In the end I had Silvertrain, Artie Schiller, and a nice little e/w on Ace to finish in profit. Shame I didn't get to see all of the races though :o

    Well done Davey, good picking.

I had a 2nd, 3rd and two 4ths before Saint Liam helped me out in the Classic.

Cheers. I had one unusually slow day in work last week.

Due to unforseen reasons, this thread...and all the selections on it, will have to be cancelled.

    Apologies,

    D

Sure we never actually said that the breeders cup would be part of the main competition, I thought it was just for a bit of fun, sure I didn't even put any thought into my selections, honest!

Agreed. We'll send Davey a brand spanking new pencil sharpener.

    Congrats DD.

    The team.

Seems very unfair to anyone who did really well :( - I don't mind because I ended up losing a small bit but to those who did well must be agrieved by this.

It seems to me that it was cancelled due to the fact that "cancellors" did bad in this and said "well we did really bad in this so lets just cancel this part".

This puts the whole competion into disrepute for those battling out for prizes at the top.

Anyway good luck to all - my aim to avoid the wooden spoon.:)

Is it because of those pictures of me with the Arab blokes and the brown envolope??

That was some other fella and that money was only resting in my account ;)
