I have a fair bit of credit in the Fitz, can I use some of it for the €50 double chance game on Tuesday night?

and yes I have been drinking.

i'm thinking about posting a piece about realistic expectations and possible win potentials while playing within certain limits but i need to do more research on it.

if anyone wants to pm me i give you my word that i will keep anything said as completely confidental.

basically I can't seem to break 200 dollars profit a week on a bankroll of 200 budgeted a week.

for the amount of time and effort it's beginning to get on my wick.

feel free to contact me, however i may not write the piece if it makes for too painful a read.

So Dub13/Culchie/Marq/Dedarco/Jason(I don't know your boards name Jason..) who won what last night in the double chance??

Quite an enjoyable game last night (in fact the last couple of weeks the games in the Fitz have been played in a great spirit as well as having big numbers for the regular mid level tournamnets Tuesday,Friday and Sunday/Wednesday) Thank God for horrible winter/autumn weather I guess :)

It was also nice to meet Scott Gray's nephew, Chad (from Florida) who is in Dublin to play the EPT game having won his ticket online. The story of him walking from Rathfarnham to the Fitz because Scott told him it was a 20-30 minute walk was quite funny too :D Good luck to him and all the boards heads who get to play in the big one.

A Harrington prescribed gear change gone wrong ?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,047 ✭✭✭Culchie

Hope not, midweek muppet syndrome I think.

ha ! . Nevermind you've been playing great lately and reaping the rewards, continued good luck to you. I've just bought Harrington 1 and 2 on Sunday and am very impressed only 3 chapters in .

i was there managed to win it. sucked a few people out on the final table which was nice. what table were you culchie?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,047 ✭✭✭Culchie

    3 I think, I wasn't there too long.

    Congrats on your win.

cheers i was on table 2, your table looked a lively with player x and all.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,533 ✭✭✭ollyk1

    Nice one De Deraco!

You looked much more refreshed and focused (then normal :p ) last night so I had a feeling you were going to go deep.
    Well done.

Actually, not that you'd be surprised, player X placed final nail in coffin.

However it was the one highlight of night. Player X raised 2.5BB into my BB (of which I had only 9BB left at this stage).

Sorta knowing his warped pyschology, I correctly deduced that this raise meant feck all, so I went back over the top with the monster that is 67os. With another caller of player X raise there was 'value' to make a move as this was last hand before break anyway.

My read was right, as player X had indeed feck all, he had 56 sooooooted, other caller had AQ.

Naturally enough the flop is a low one, AQ missed everything, and my pair of 7's was winning until the river gave player X his destined and well deserved straight !

Note ... this was one of my better plays of same said muppet night.

I did get a little smile of acknowledgement from player X that I had him read correctly, but he wouldn't give me my chips back though.

I was on table 2. The bloke that won an early pot lost a big one straight after and got moved only to come back later with a large stack and got sent home by old Paddy.
What seat were you in, were you the cappicino guy to my left?.

lol yeah that was me, damn Paddy he nearly did me in too, the guy in seat 10 took all paddy's chips by going all in with 44 and paddy called with QQ, seat 10 hit a 4. Barely remember what you looked like for some reason i though you looked liked Jerry Seinfeld.

He's a nice man Paddy though isnt he, he doesnt need to do a lot to get a laugh. There was one to many dwell ups on that table for my liking dont you think. jees surely a player knows what their going to do within the first few seconds:rolleyes: . Shame on any player to have a clock get put on them i say. I intend to get through playing the rest of my life without being ever put on the clock!.
You were a very solid player i thought, well done on the win.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 441 ✭✭De Deraco

Paddy is a gas man very good player, The players to my left were thinking for ages actually had a clock put on him at one stage. I think its because he played poor hands e.g. K5o, so when they got a sniff off the flop they'd think they were making a big laydown. Inexpereance.

Well done De Deraco...you were fairly low stacked on the second last table. In fact you had a small part top play in my exit....can you finger out how...?

You took a hit and basically said you were going to play very aggressively, you were true to your word by going all in the next 3/4 hands. So then I look down at the two bitches,I was thinking of a standard 3 or 4 times the big blind raise but seems as you were on a all in binge I flat called thinking you would go all in and I would call. That was the plan anyway.

The chap one to your right interrupted my plan by raising me.You then folded, that was my plan out the window.I raise all in hoping to take it down there. He calls with AK....hits a King on the river to send me out around 12th.

If I pushed with my QQ at the start of the hand I could have taken him off his AK,maybe nothing was taken him off it.As I said you played a small (but inportant) part in the hand.

yeah that was it, don't think he would've been scared off, he played like a robot he came 7th.
