    Hi,
I'm looking to get about 20,000 CD Business Cards made which must have a professionally printed sleeve and label on the CD with the contents burned onto the CD also. Does anyone know of any company either in Ireland or abroad that will be able to do this with good quality but at a good price, perhaps about 10c per printed/burned CD in sleeve?

    Cheers!

20,000? my lord thats a lot of business cards

would it not be easier to build a website?

I looked at this before and a quick google throws up a lot of companies who do it, one thing to bear in mind about business card cds, if you go for the small disc style, especially the rectangular ones, it can get jammed in slot loading cd rom drives

to be honest, the number of these mini cd business cards that iv gotten in the past few years and NEVER used is unreal. Id actually call them a complete waste of money and time. I have however gotten business cards with a web address on it,and wandered on over to their site. Its a much better idea.

    so true.
They were a fad and never really took off.
Like already mentioned, focus your energies on a good website and then a good DM piece to get them informed about it.

20,000??? That's a lot by anyone standards ... many music artists in Ireland wouldn't even shift that number of CD's!

Most of these will be binned and the type of information you can put into a CD can easily be hosted on a web site and your potential audience is millions.

I used to make those CD business cards and even i think they are a gimmick. Save your cash and spend it on a good website.

If you insist on wasting a huge wade of cash then databiz does them: http://www.databiz.com/itcardpressing.html

Look into getting them from China. Should be a hell of a lot cheaper.

Yeah but then you get hit with import taxes and high delivery costs.

if you want to get your name out there, how about hiring a car to drive around dublin all day repeating your name over and over? :D Slightly less gimmicky

OP, its a great idea but not effective.

I have loads of cd's like that have still been unopened.

IMO, the response rate will be much higher from a good auld
printed catalog. Its can be read anywhere - on a train, over lunch, while watching tv, doodling in your office but this does not happen with a cd.

Alot of the savvy marketing companies out there know this and still rely on the traditional form.

biz card CD = an idea that is innovative and very efficient but not effective.

No import duty on printed matter. Never checked for data media.

You're much better off getting a well optimised flash based site, and combining this with a business card with a really strong hook, that encourages people to visit the site.

PM me if you want professional help in this area.
