Trains to/from Athy

    Howdy.
Thinking of buying in Athy and I've heard that the 06.41 Athy-Dublin train is a standing room only job. Can anyone tell me about the 16.25 Dublin-Athy? Any chance of a seat for laptop-type-duties or is that super-crammed too?

    Cheers,

    Gordon.

I know someone who commuted from Carlow for 6 months - nearly kilt him!!
He would have been of the "buy in Carlow and commute, it's more affordable than Dublin" types.

Another option is driving to Kildare town - about 30 minutes maximum and then you have better choice of trains & Arrows from there. Especially for returning from Dublin.
