    Hey all,

Anyone have any recommendations for free (or cheap) ghosting/imaging software?

I've used Symantec Ghost before in my old job but it's rather expensive and I'm not sure if they'll spring for it here :)

    Thanks in advance...

Search in sourceforge. Not sure if there's anything in the free software sticky. I know there's a free version of ghost available for linux, and I /think/ it may have been ported to work on windows.

Yeah, I think there's something on one of those 'super' boot cds where somebody made a boot cd will all kinds of usefull utilities and makes the ISO available, altough I can't remember what it was called, which CD it was or even if it was a linux or MS based one

Sorry, I know that's not much to go on, but it might help narrow down any googling you do.

partimage - it's on many bootable linux CD's

major annoyance is that it won't write to a smaller partition, workaround is to use ntfsresize to shrink the partition first (linked to qtparted in Knoppix 3.9 cd)
