    You get what you pay for tbh. But I'd be more inclined to go with something like this

    The Box stuff is supposed ot be quite good.

    that looks pretty good alright.. but tell me whats the difference between an output of 2X75w and 1X150w? the speakers are obviously far better... could you enlighten me ploiz if the 2 speakers are 160 watts making 320 watt altogether how can the mixer drive both of them with an output of only 150w?... no stands either.. hmm fixable tho...

    1x150W = 150W in Mono
    2x75W = 150W in Stereo

    If a speaker is 150W, it means it can accept 150W, it doesn't need it to run. 2 speakers doesn't mean the wattage is doubled unless it's in stereo. The output from the mixer is the power of the system.

    ok hang lemme try get my hea round this... ok the mixer that you showed me can power both the speakers at almost full capacity giving 300w of power right? sorry if i seem a bit thick but i never understood the whole concept of amp power driving speakers in both guiatrs and pa's

    No. Let's think of it this way:

    An amp can output a maximum of 100W.
    You use a combo amp so it's going into a 12" speaker.
    That's 100W of output.
    Connect a 4x12 cabinet.
    That's 5 speakers but that's still 100W of output.

    Now, you start getting into impedances there but generally, it doesn't matter how many speakers you have. If the amp outputs 100W, you get 100W output total.

    well with the deal you showed me it con only power 150w and both the spekers are 160 w each.. im wasting half of the speakers power...

    No, you're not. You rarely push the speakers to their full power. If you do that, the speakers will start distorting. It's not "wasting their power". It's like having a 100W guitar amp. You get one for the headroom so you can have loud clean tones without the amp breaking up.

    i guess this is true.. but at what level would the speaker start distorting? coz with those speakers they can only go up to 75w

    If you cranked the PA amp all the way and played some bass heavy stuff through them, they'd probably starting breaking up. Your best bet is to talk to the Doc or to Eoin who no doubt have decades more experience than I ;)

    Having more headroom in the speakers than you can use is not usual. It tis as Feylya decrees.

    What do you need this for? 2x75 watt is a pretty low power system anyway.
