    it's in the new Christmas book, €155euro, anyone know if it's a bit of junk or
    a real bargain, can't find any reviews.

    €150 says junk to me. I dont think you can get a 40gig player for twice that

    for that price, ya cant really go wrong, 40 gig is 40 gig, having trouble finding info online bout it tho, whats the model?

    You didn't look very hard did you? Just type Venturer 40gb into google and the 1st link is Argos UK and it's 99 of the Queens currency...

    Its a bit big and ugly, but 40 GB for €155 thats not bad I suppose.

    i googled. venturer dont have it on their site, argos didnt give much detail!

    It looks like a very basic MP3 player, but I'm sure it is probably ok. No specs on battery life etc isn't a good sign but if you just want a basic 40GB mp3 player, I'd say it's fine. Personally I'd prefer to hang around boards fs forum and wait for a good bargain. I got an iRiver H-120 (20GB) for €130 which is a greeeat deal. It's half the size but seriously, with www.rockbox.org you can't really get better for music playback on an mp3 player.
