when you've been out n' about and you get back home, what is the most irritating thing to discover you've lost/left behind/knicked.

for me its money cause i've done it so danm often:rolleyes:

the poll is probably unnecessary but i'm feeling extravagant.

    What poll ?
I would have to say my wallet or my phone. Money can be replaced, hundreds of phone numbers cant :(.

Credit card when there's a long cue at the bank machine.

    that poll. BONK!!

House keys, followed closely by money.

BTW Anyone that hasn't got their SIM backed up in this day and age deserves to loose their contact numbers...

Actually my ID would be another big bummer to loose :(. I lost it once and it took me months to get another one.

phone, 2 many numbers needed! plus i have some nice texts stored on it!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 18,484 ✭✭✭✭Stephen

My wallet. Lost it once (fell out of my pocket whilst cycling a bike). It had little cash in it but was full of ID's, credit card, driving licence, etc.

Fortunately some old lady found it and handed it in to the gardaí :)

phone for me, wallet never has anything in it

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 15,503 ✭✭✭✭jellie

my bag, because it contains most of the other stuff mentioned! usually my phone, purse and keys at least, and my purse has my ID in it.

so basically if the bags gone so is everything.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,437 ✭✭✭Crucifix

My wallet, because it contains money, my monthly bus ticket, my ID, and my college card (which would costs cash to replace).

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,920 ✭✭✭cee_jay

Had to say bag in poll - cause that holds wallet, keys, phone, ID, etc....

Lost my denim jacket a couple of weeks ago - was very annoyed to say the least!!

    Money.

And what's the deal with people and mobile phones? (Still don't have one...)

And Atari Jaguar fans are scum.

I think I've lost all of them at some point, but the worst was when I lost my glasses as I couldn't then see a bloody thing to try and figure out where the hell I was. Guessing my way to an opticians inorder to get another pair was a bit tricky as well.

wallet for me. i lost mine a week ago. never got it back and still havent got my cards back, after an experiance like that when i found a wallet in dr.quirkeys yesterday i handed it st8 in

thank god ive never lost my phone (and my mam says i lose everything i get! )

but my friend lost her bag in a night club, her phone, (she didnt have her numbers backed up, i keep telling her!), purse, with cards, ID, 100euro, housekeys, makeup  perfume etc

quite a disaster so im always extra careful with my stuff ;) tend to only bring out phone, money (not purse) and keys so if i do lose it, ill not b comletely screwed

I've never lost anything on a night out but would hate to lose my phone and/or my ids.

Lost €20 once was a bit of a bummer

My friend lost his passport last week in 21s, but they found it so it was all good!

    lost make up and stuff

I'm meticulous so this issue does not effect me. I've never lost anything whilst out and even log/tally up the money I spend on a night out on my mobile so I never get those 'what the fcuk did I spend all my money on blues' either the following morning. Sad, I know, but it helps me keep what littles left of my sanity.

Wallet would be the worst to mislay for me, with my bank and credit cards, dosh, etc

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,618 ✭✭✭Civilian_Target

If I had my passport out, that'd be the worst to loose. Failing that, my MP3 player (I never intentionally take it out with me, but sometimes you don't intend to go out!) . And failing that, my wallet.

Having a phone nicked was bad but the numbers are generally replaceable. If you ever have cause to talk to the person you generally will see them at some point and thanks to meteors sim thing that lets you keep the same number its only the cost of replacing the phone thats annoying.

The worst I found to lose was house keys having to climb in windows after a night out does look strange to people passing by!

The only thing I lost was money about a month ago, fell out of my pocket... I should get a wallet. I don't use handbags/purses. Nearly couldn't afford the nitelink home because of that.
Anyway, found out the next day that a friend I was with that night had found some cash.

Free Contacts Back-Ups can be done using Mobical.net
It works using GRPS on most new phones with the SYNC function.

Had my phone and wallet nicked a while back. Managed to get the phone back but never got my wallet. There wasnt too much cash in it but there was pictures of my nana and my niece that i cant replace. Oh and also my Unlimited Cinema card

its funny how reliant some girls are (me included) on their bags, they carry everything in them, but can be so careless when out (me included, but i am learning!!). im surprised ive never lost my bag!

Oh, to contradict myself (as I'd forgotten about this), I had my phone stolen on a night out in Crete last year. It was one of the first nights we were there so it was kind of annoying not having one for the rest of the holiday.
Had all the numbers backed up onto the computer so that was ok.

The only ID I've lost has been a student card during this summer but that was fine, didn't need the thing anyway.

I'd hate to lose my passport, drivers licence or ATM card though.
Never bothered getting a garda ID but can imagine after waiting so long to get it, it'd be pretty annoying to lose it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,216 ✭✭✭✭monkeyfudge

ATM card is a bad one... I usually have to wait over a week to have a new one issued to me... I wouldn't mind but it's never my fault when they go missing on me it's the fault of all those gammy Banklink machines that eat my cards.

I rarely have time to get to the bank to withdraw money while it is open, so I am pretty dependent on Banklinks.
